PRP for Hair Restoration

What it is

PRP for hair uses the growth factors in your own platelet-rich plasma to wake up weakened hair follicles and extend their growing phase. A small blood sample is drawn and spun to concentrate the platelets; the plasma is then injected across the thinning areas of the scalp with a very fine needle after numbing.

What to expect

It is a thirty- to forty-minute session with no downtime beyond a tender scalp for a day. PRP works best on hair that is thinning rather than gone — early to moderate pattern hair loss in men and women, diffuse shedding, and thinning along the part or temples. Most patients see less shedding first, then thicker, denser growth from about the third month. The usual plan is three to four sessions four to six weeks apart, then maintenance every six to twelve months. It pairs naturally with the clinic's needle-free mesotherapy for hair, and Dr. Sibaja will tell you honestly at your assessment whether your follicles are still active enough to respond.

Learn more about PRP for Hair Restoration

Every answer is a starting point — your consultation goes deeper, personally.

Will it work for me?
PRP strengthens follicles that are still alive. If an area has been smooth and bare for years, the follicles are usually gone and PRP cannot bring them back — Dr. Sibaja will tell you this honestly rather than sell you a course.
How many sessions, and when will I see something?
Usually three to four sessions, four to six weeks apart. Shedding tends to slow within the first two months; visibly thicker growth takes about three months, because that is how long a hair cycle takes.
Is there downtime?
No. A tender, slightly tight scalp for a day. Avoid washing for 12 hours and strenuous exercise, sauna or colouring for 48 hours.
Can I combine it with other hair treatments?
Yes — it is often paired with the clinic's needle-free mesotherapy for hair and with topical or oral treatments your doctor may prescribe. Dr. Sibaja sequences them for you.
