How does it work?

Do I have enough fat for it?

How much of the fat survives?

A proportion is reabsorbed over the first months — this is normal and expected. What remains is permanent. The final shape is judged at several months, not at several weeks.

Is this procedure safe?

It carries risks that are specific to it and that are taken seriously in current surgical practice, which is why technique and injection plane matter so much. Dr. Sibaja will discuss these with you directly and in detail before you consent.

What is the recovery like?

Sitting is restricted for a defined period to protect the transferred fat, and a compression garment is worn for the donor areas. This is a recovery that requires planning around, particularly if you are travelling.

Because the material is your own tissue it feels and behaves naturally. The proportions are a decision made with you beforehand — Dr. Sibaja works to balance, not to a maximum.

What if I lose or gain weight afterwards?

Transferred fat behaves like the fat it came from: it enlarges and shrinks with your weight. A stable weight keeps the result stable.

Can it be done alongside a tummy tuck?

Sometimes, and sometimes not — combining two substantial operations has to be weighed against safety and recovery. This is a decision Dr. Sibaja will make with you rather than a default.
